The Next Generation Poets Reading Group scheme makes the 20 poets’ work available to any reading group or individual reader.

The discussion notes provide ideas for how reading groups can approach the poets’ work, and there is also a photo, a biography and three poems from each poet, together with suggestions for further reading. Download the notes below or from the individual poet’s page.

Also on this website there are video interviews with each of the poets and videos of them reading three poems from their books, together with blogs, reviews and articles, including one from Ian McMillan, the Chair of the judges.

The 48-page Next Generation Poets 2014 guide will be available for reading groups or individual readers to order from the PBS.

The Poetry Book Society will be working in partnership with The Reading Agency’s Reading Groups for Everyone to promote the reading groups and also to offer a reading groups competition for the best description of a reading group session devoted to discussing the Next Generation Poets 2014. Details of how to enter the competition can be found on their page.

The winning reading group will be able to choose between a complete set of signed copies of the 20 poets’ books for the group or tickets for up to 10 members of the reading group to attend the celebratory event in London on 15 March 2015, at which all 20 poets have been invited to read, or to another event out of the 23 being organised across the country. Prizewinners will be expected to fund their own accommodation and travel.

You can find the individual links to download the reading group discussion notes below, or on the individual poets’ pages.
